Amcas

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It usually takes 2 to 6 weeks depending on the time and verification. If you don't hear any updates on your Application by six weeks, then you should call them and see what is going on.

Check for the transcripts also. Sometimes they should be in the file within two weeks from the posted. If they are not in the file, then it may take some more time.

Hope it helps,

When I called AMCAS a week ago, they told me that at this point in the application process, it should take about 2 weeks to 2 weeks and a half. What really takes the most time according to AMCAS is recieving and sorting out the transcripts since AMCAS has no control over how fast your colleges send them and the rate at which the US Postal Service processes the mail.

I kind of agree with it. that the process within office takes less time... it's just that the school and mailing may take some extra time.

i had my amcas file complete (transcripts in and amcas submitted) on 8/22. it was verified on 8/30 which i thought was a very quick turn around.
