The reason why I asked is I am going to move out of my state in late April and all of my contacts LOR and everything is here so wanted to hopefully get some of those done before I leave : - /

I think it doesn't open till May 1st 🙁 But you can always ask early while you are there. Good luck! You can also get information ready to go. Type out your activities and personal statement so when it does open you are ready to go. You can't submit till June 1st though. Call me a dork but I got up early on June 1st submitted as early as I could and was verified within two hours. It was great.

I love it... did you get accepted? Can you submit June 1st 12:01AM haha

Yes. But not till February for an Oct. interview so it was a long wait 🙂 And AMCAS doesn't send out your application till the end of July so really sleeping in that morning isn't going to hurt anyones chances...Clearly I was just being a neurotic premed. You can't submit at 12:01. am. (nice thinking though) It opened at a really random time and I ended up being annoyed I had gotten up early... 8:47 a.m. ?

There is an online letter of rec website that they can submit them to (I believe called interfolio?) if you need them before May.

I read May 10th somewhere on the aamc or amcas site, cant find it tho

That sounds like a fun filled day. Wake up early, submit it as early as you can and then go get breakfast. 😀

have your professors submit the LORS online beforehand. I create an interfolio accounts during my sophomore year and had professors upload it to my account right after taking their class.

I skipped breakfest and went to the dentist instead. What a party that was let me tell you!

I haven't done a whole lot of research on this yet but it appears that there is a transcript form that you print out from amcas to facilitate the verification process. Am I understanding that correctly? I'm just confused about what to do with that since I will be ordering my transcripts online...

There is a transcript form but I don't think it's required, I didn't use it for all of my transcripts. The most important thing is that you have your school put your AMCAS number on your transcript, that way AMCAS knows who you are.

How do you put your grades in if it was a pass or fail class and you only would pass if you get 90% or higher?

If your transcript says Pass or Fail (P/F) for the class then AMCAS treats it as a P or F and it doesn't get calculated in your GPA. As far as I know they are only concerned with what is listed on the transcript, they don't care how your P/F course was graded.

That is some hardcore pass fail right there... hopefully it wasn't for Bowling or something

It was my whole pharmacy school! It was pass or fail with 90%! so for the past three years i've been getting straight As and they are not going to count it :scared::scared::scared:

I think professional school grades are listed completely separately from ugrad, grad, and post-bac. If the courses were truly P/F and no grade is listed then I don't think they will be counted toward your GPA. If that is the case your sGPA and cGPA will be comprised of your ugrad courses and schools will also see that you successfully completed pharm school. unfortunately if you had a 3.0 in ugrad it will stay a 3.0.

my sGPA was 3.6 and my cGPA was 3.8 but I was hoping I could at least use my grades from 2008-2011 too 😕

That would be sweet if they counted your pharm "grades" cause it would boost your sGPA up a lot. Even if they don't I think you'll be perfectly fine, people coming out of undergrad with 3.6's get in no problem. I'd be less worried about grades at this point and more worried about mcat and what your going to say when they ask why you went to pharm school and now want to go to med school. I was a non-trad applicant as well and schools are definitely interested in that answer, it'll probably be one of the better aspects of your app, as long as you have good test scores, because it differentiates you, you learned a lot, it's relevant to medicine, etc, etc.
