Hey I just got accepted to AIC today and was wondering if anyone else got a phone call as well! How to hear form a couple of you guys!

I'm still waiting to hear back from them! Congratulations! When did you submit your application to them?
 
I recieved a call from the admissions counselor last night as well with an acceptance.

Hi, I received a phone call last night stating that I was accepted to AIC. I don't know much about the program. Are you planning on attending? Congrats!

Thank you and congratulations as well. I'm going to give up my seat at AIC, I was accepted to my top choice. What other schools have you heard back from?

Hey! Thank you!! I went to visit before and it's a nice small campus! As on now I'll be attending, but I'm waiting on Thomas Jefferson, and I'm wait listed on USF. So I'll see if I get luck there too!

Also did she tell you when you'll get the letter, I forget if they told me on the phone that they sent it out?

Congrats to all! I was accepted to AIC as well but I'll most likely be declining the offer since I was accepted to a few other schools that I think I'd prefer.

She said we should be receiving the package by snail mail either by the end of this week or next week.

Does anyone know if they have anymore interview dates? Haven't heard anything from them.

No, not because I didn't like AIC, (although truthfully I never visited the school itself) I decided to decline because I got into my top choice school (Upstate). Although, if it had come down to AIC and another school I'm not sure I would be thrilled to live in Springfield, MA..the few times I have been to the city I wasn't terribly impressed.

I was accepted and am declining at AIC because I was accepted at other top choice schools. Not sure if you did visit the school, but I spent a day there with a student recently and can answer questions based on my experience if you have any.

Hi,

I was also accepted and decided to attend, partly to experience the East Coast! Does anyone happen to know how the roommate selection process works?

I emailed a few different people from the school itself and they told me that there was a facebook group created called AIC DPT class of 2019. I haven't been able to find it yet so if anyone has luck let me know. I am looking for roommates also and was planning on living outside of Springfield in a safer area
 
I got a call from AIC that I was accepted, but I missed the call. So they left a voicemail to call them back, so I did, but no one picked up. So I left a voicemail to contact me back, but they never called me back. I called twice afterwards, but still no one picked up. It's okay though because I just wanted to call them to officially decline my spot, but I could never get a hold of them and they never called me back. I've also heard a lot of bad things about the program, so just be weary about that. Hope me declining my seat helps some of you guys out!

Can you tel me some bad things that you heard about there program cause I heard all good things. Only bad thing is it's in a bad area

Yeah sure. Someone who lives either in Massachusetts or a state bordering there told me when they were volunteering/aiding, they were talking with the PT they were shadowing about schools. And the PT said they don't hire PT's that came from AIC because they are always unprepared. I've also heard they don't really communicate with the students that well. But take what I say with a grain of salt, I've never visited the campus or have anything negative happen to me personally, these are just things I've heard.

When I spoke to the admissions counselor she just told me that the class size would be 22 students, but she didn't tell me whether or not it was full. Hope you get a call!

Is it really 22 students..? PTCAS says 42 and that's what I was told when I went to an open house a while back and Kellie was giving the presentation.

Did you mean there are 22 students accepted at the moment?
Bc I went onto Ptcas for AIC and this was the info I found for class of 2019.
Looks like there will be 43 students total.

I'm only going by what she said to me when she called "over 400 applicants and you are one of 22"....
 
Hopefully I was extremely excited and didn't hear her correctly LOL
