I just saw an email about this.

It's apparently a new society, formed in 20188. They are having a conference in July 2019. Looks like a good lineup of folks. Any of you attending?

the first meeting for the board was in Aspen CO few weeks ago.
 
So is it invitation only? No real website, not much info about the conference, but looks like it was very well attended.

There are dozens of these societys. I can never figure out why people join them. Whats the point? How do they help you directly?

SIS produces research and optimal techniques. Helps me.
ASIPP fights for us (or at least pain docs in the ASC) in DC. Helps me.

I can't think of any others that help me in a tangible way. I can think of others that HURT me in a tangible way, such as the AMA.
