I just took TBR exam 6 and there were probably 3-4 questions where knowledge of the specific structure of amino acids would greatly help/was required.

E.g. this one:

"Which amino acid is LEAST likely to show a positive value for specific rotation ([αD])?"

without giving the structure you basically have to know the 4 amino acids listed. Are we required to know this stuff?

Based on previous threads about similar questions - yes, we do need to know them.

My guess is proline with a value of negative ~80
