acheiver test 1 #22, says that all 4 extra embryonic membranes develop into the placenta and umbilical cord, but how is that possible?

I looked it up on wiki and texts and found that the amnion persists thoughout pregancy and contains the amniotic fluid to cushin, it doesn't develop to placenta or umbelical cord and only part of the chorion takes part in placenta formation not the whole chorion ... am I correct ? please help mme with this stuff I am so confused thanks

It seems to me that you are correct, maybe the placental is includes amnion and yolk sac.

chorion: implants into endometrium and helps forms the placenta

allantois: initially forms a layer below the chorion and then fuses with the chorion and functions in gas exchange

amnion: cushions the developing embryo

Yolk sac: delivers nutrients to developing embryo
