amphotericin b - color blindness?

kisspharm states (repeatedly) that 2 drugs that cause red/green color blindness are ethambutol and amphotericin b.

i can't find ANY reference to ampho having this side effect. Is this a mistake in kisspharm? he literally repeats it like 10 times.
 
must be a mistake, I've never heard about that nor encountered a question regarding that specific toxicity.
 
I have never heard of that either. There are case reports of acute visual loss following amphotericin B in cryptococcal meningitis, but no mention of color blindness. I don't know if amphotericin B is an established risk factor, but there seems to be a common theme of fungal infections with suspected optic nerve involvement in immune-compromised patients.
 
I think you guys are right and it's just a mistake. This is disappointing because kisspharm is really catchy and a nice non-FA source for studying pharm... but i don't want to memorize the wrong info!
