Hi everyone,
I am minutes from pressing the submit button on my AMCAS application (I know this is really later, but it's the earliest I could get it done, so please don't lecture me about being late!!!!) but I am confused about something. I was originally planning to do the disadvantaged student thing, but then I decided not to. My problem is that when I try to print the application the part about "post secondary education finance" still comes up and shows 0% on all things.
So the question: if I'm not doing the disadvantaged status, is there a place where I should fill the info for my post secondary finance? I can't find it, but why does it come up in the print?

Thanks in advance for your help,
please write me back soon cause I can't wait to press that submit button

leave it, you are fine, hit the damn button +pissed+

if you do not apply disadvantaged, the fields will automaticall go to 0%. this happened to me, too, when i printed it out, and i didn't apply disadvantaged - so you should be fine to submit.

I know, but at least now I have the experience of the AMCAS primary to draw upon. At least by now I've thought about all the weird questions they put in the secondaries and such. But yes indeed, I am expecting to age 5 years by the time I'm throug with the whole process 😀
maybe not...

So that means you will go through puberty finally. 👍

wait for secondaries...the death that is the secondary...god...I just hope you're not applyin to a lot of schools...see the "2005 secondary thread" for the hell that we're all going through...but in the meantime...enjoy your pre-secondary time...chill...read a book...go to the beach...do something normal...because I know my complexion could use some light other than that of the computer screen!

darn secondaries....

do i sound bitter? 😀

No kidding. I just finished off my 14th secondary, and thanks to Michigan, I am now blind. Any of you notice how that lovely green screws with your eyes when you switch over to another screen?

anyone who submitted their AMCAS recently, how long is it taking before your applications are processed and you started getting secondaries? I guess from the time they got your transcripts, because mine are already in.
thx

You do sounds bitter, but I think you have a good reason to be bitter or at least tired and frustrated. Wait a few weeks and I would be complaining to. It sure isn't fun. It can kinda be, because you have to either explore yourself and learn things you weren't really aware of, or make up bs answers to weird off the wall questions 😉
and yes, I will be listening to your advice. I'm gonna go at least party tonight, go to Napa tomorrow and then after a couple days start contemplating on the secondary questions that you guys have posted up on the forum.
Good luck with the tan

I know what you mean. I had like 10 drafts by the time I decided I'm done with it, cause anymore editing and my essay would start to get worst instead of better. Just don't dwell on it for too long cause it obviously isn't going to give the complete picture about you in that little space. Just finish it, if it's decent. Don't wait for the "perfect" essay cause it aint coming :meanie: Or at least that's how I feel about it.

I'm with you guys! I just submitted tonight, after many hours toiling over that gosh darn personal statement. You have to at some point just believe it is good enough. I was lucky enough to receive help from some very friendly SDN'ers, and if anyone wants another set of eyes before they submit their PS, I'd be happy to pay it forward.
