Can you easily make a 2-bromobutane from 1-butene? Why and why not?

Easy? Probably not. Butene is pretty volatile. What, is this a homework question?

1)H30+, heat; this adds alcohol to the most substituted double location
2) HBr, swaps OH for Br

That's pretty easy
