For all of you who have taken the DAT or who are fairly familiar with it, I was wondering how much of the biology section is on human biology. I have only had the two semesters of general biology and a semester of genetics. I have never had anatomy or phisiology but I want to take the DAT at the end of the summer. Do you think it is possible to do decent on that part of the test with review materials such as the DAT Destroyer and the Kaplan book and class? and how much of the biology section is on human biology? My friend's roomate is in phisiology right now and I was thinking about getting her notes and textbook after the semester and just studying those for like a month. What do you think?

From what I have seen in my practice exams, and studied from Kaplan, you should be fine. It doesn't go that much more in depth than freshman level biology. Just get the kaplan bluebook and go over that.

when i took the dat i hadnt taken anatomy either, but i think it would have helped me to take psychology actually before taking the exam because there were questions on parts of the brain and their function, but using the kaplan book helped out. i think on the practice exams there were questions on hormones and what not, but i dont remember too many of them being on the actual exam. you should be fine though if you havent taken physio or anatomy.
