Does anyone know of any good anatomy and phys apps to use as study aides and references for the Ipad?

Essential Anatomy is hands down the best app that we could use! It is a very powerful tool. Money well spent. I use it on my iPad in class and at home, and even used it on my iPhone when in the cadaver lab. No other anatomy app compares to this one. Some of my classmates got different, cheaper ones and regretted it.

Looks excellent. Will definitely be buying soon.

Question: once you've bought it, do you get updated versions or do you have to buy it again? They say on their "coming soon" that they have a bunch of feature in the works, one of which is the animate muscles feature (http://applications.3d4medical.com/essential_anatomy_5/#ComingSoon) which looks really great for PT.

Also just for the record, since this thread specifically mentioned iPads, Essential Anatomy 3 is also available for Android and Windows (considering more people now use Android than iOS by quite a large margin, though this might be an important point). :)

The Android version also appears to be $12, rather than $25 for the iOS and Windows versions. Of course Essential Anatomy 5 is available for iOS/Apple (which has both male and female models and some other cool new features).

That's a great question and I'm not sure if we automatically receive the new features.

Anyone know which is comparable in the android store?

I believe you can purchase the older version (4?) for Android or Windows

I just got a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 so I'm gonna look for these apps soon

I ended up buying an iPad Air for a good price once the Air 2 came out and got the Essential Anatomy 5. I personally prefer Android products but the school I am attending administers exams through a piece of software that does not have an Android version, and the Surface Pro, which would have also worked, was a bit more than I wanted to spend.

I got a Samsung Tab 4 8-inch for $150 from Best Buy (someone returned it to the store....had it a week, nothing wrong with it!). Just downloaded the Essential Anatomy 3 app. Love it.

I used Visible Body all the time in anatomy.

What's the difference between them? Is having all of them necessary?

I have used Visible Body and I like it. It's easy to go to multiple views and plenty of useful quizzes as well.

Has anyone compared Visual Body and Complete/Essential Anatomy programs recently? It looks like Visual Body has most of the features of the Complete/Essential Anatomy apps, but at a much lower price tag.

For learning anatomy, I used 3d4medical or smth alike.
If it will be difficult for you to study pathology, I'd recommend this app Voka.io

I recommend the following apps on sale:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id838849800?mt=8
‎Anatomy & Physiology
‎Muscles & Kinesiology
‎Essential Anatomy 5
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id446207961?mt=8

Each is listed at 99c...worth the 5$ purchase tbh. It will last you a long time.

This list should cover almost all basis.
I can also recommend this app ‎SmartPT Online
