I just saw a sample view of the card. I love how at the bottom of the card, they tell you the pages from which the figures are taken from. Is it recommended that the cards are used along with the Atlas text?

The questions on the cards are also great. It helps to have them on the cards, as well. Thank you. 😉

Are these flashcards organized by organ-system?
The flash cards are organized by body region.

Thank you! Yes, it is recommended that students use Atlas of Anatomy to learn and flash cards to review and self test.

Thanks and keep posting!

Would the flash cards happen to reference CTs, MRIs, or other scans associated with the WinkingSkull PLUS feature that is included with the purchase? I know the program is tailored more towards the Atlas of Anatomy, but would there be any flash cards that have labeled scans or anything of the sort to correspond with the online features?

I have used the Netter cards before and while I like them, I could really use cards oriented to MRI and CT sections. Do these cards provide CT and MRI images. I am especially interested for Head and Neck anatomy since I will be applying for ENT residency. Thanks.

Yeah, this was basically what I was wondering too, since the online materials provide those things too.

on page 16 of the link to the Table of Contents there's an MRI through the paranasal sinuses. seems like MRIs are present in the flashcards but not sure how prevalent they are along with CTs

What are the advantages of these flashcards over other flashcards available (ie Netters)

Is there a way that these flashcards and the similar/complementary products (i.e. Atlas) can be purchased together at a discounted price?

The flash cards mainly feature illustrations from Atlas of Anatomy. There are selected cards with scans (about ten), so WinkingSkull.com is the best place to study radiographic images.

At this time, these products are only available individually.

Q1: What are the advantages of these flashcards over other flashcards available (ie Netters)

Thank you for your question. There are some dramatic differences. Netter is a popular atlas and card set but many have long been frustrated by their lack of radiographs which are so important in medicine today. Radiographs such as MRI's and CT's are an excellent way to learn anatomy and any future practioner must understand fully how to read and understand them as they are so important in the practice of medicine today. The Thieme ANATOMY FLASH CARDS have cards with radiographs throughout. The Thieme F CARDS also contain questions for self testing (with answers) and clinical applications were appropriate. ALl these tools are a great way to learn the application of anatomy to medicine.

Thank you again for your interest - Best regards
