Anatomy heavy?

How many of u guys had an anatomy, embryo, histo heavy test? I have already studied anatomy at the beginning of my study process...and with 3 weeks to go....I want to know how much time to devote again to anatomy, Histo and embryo. I dont remember much..so keep that in mind 😀

A classmate of mine had a very anatomy-heavy test. He was great at anatomy so it wasnt as much of a problem, however, every anatomy question I or any of my friends had (we were all around talking 'bout questions) had on our exam, he had on his test.

I woulda cried if I had that test as on my exam I had like 3-4 simple anatomy questions that werent much of a problem (I only did first aid and some HY anatomy).

Nope, nope, and nope. Fair amount of anatomy for what I expected, one or two embryo questions, and I don't even remember any "pure" histology questions.

I recall no embryo on my exam. Anatomy was adequately covered in FA.

When I took it last year, I had lots of difficult anatomy questions, well beyond the scope of First Aid. Hardly any Embryo or Histo, maybe 2 or 3 each.

I distinctly remember a few embryology and histology questions that were either very easy or nearly impossible to study for (something along the lines of what is immediately anterior to anterior neuropore/something else at x stage of development...horrid and not in FA or HY) on my test, and haven't heard of anyone with embryo or histo-heavy tests. My test had a few anatomy-heavy blocks, but they covered material that was either in FA or impossible to study for, and I got the same impression from people with anatomy-heavy exams. Therefore, IMO embryo and histo = very low yield, anatomy = low yield even if you have an anatomy-heavy test. Just know FA.

Anatomy: For my particular test, yeah probably. I did read HY: Anatomy though because I know some people have had more rigorous anatomy questions than me. Plus, I was weak on radiology scans and I felt they were helpful. I didn't really need it, but I felt better having studied more.

Embryo: Absolutely. My embryo questions were very basic, core embryo concepts. I still read HY Embryo early on though, because I'm an Embryo freak. But any normal person should probably just do FA.

Histology: Unless you've had major problems with the subject in the past, I don't think much/any additional study would be needed. Maybe bundle a bit with your Cellular/Molecular Biology studying.

HY Cell and Molecular by Dudek. Pair that with the first 4 chapters of BRS Histology (just borrow from a friend for a few hours).

My test had some fairly benign anatomy (I'm not saying I knew it, just that if I'd paid attention during anatomy I would have), one embryo question that wasn't in FA, and all the histology was very recognizable.

3-4 pure anatomy q's per block, and they were pretty tough.
