Which dental schools require Anatomy as a prerequiste? I'm deciding whether I should take anatomy or accounting.

I've already done biochem and molecular bio, do dental schools really want to see me take an anatomy class?

I realize anatomy is important and that it reappears heavily in dental school, but I just find accounting more interesting than anatomy.

I find anatomy pretty boring, but if it gives me an edge as an applicant, I will suffer through it. So should I take anatomy or accoutning?

It really wont give you an edge as an applicant, but it will help make your first year easier. I didnt take anatomy as an undergrad and as a result, I can tell that I will have to spend the most time with it. I took biochem and histo as an undergrad and those classes seem very easy. I think it is worth taking it during undergrad in order to relieve the stress you'll feel your first year.

I agree with adam... some students report that their first year or two of dental school is pure torture, while other students at the same school say it wasn't so bad. The difference is how well prepared you are for those upper level courses. The more familiar with the fundamentals of anatomy, biochem, etc...the less stressfull it will be to learn those subjects at a graduate level later on. That is likely why some schools require anatomy as a prereq.

I think life would be pretty miserable if you felt completely lost your first year of dental school. There are plenty of things you can't prepare for, why not prepare for the things you know are going to be tough. If you don't think anatomy is fun now (undergraduate level), just wait until you get to graduate level anatomy!
