Anatomy Review Books

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
The BRS by Chung is pretty good. The two main gross anatomy instructors at my school both made very positive comments about it when they saw me with it. However, First Aid (for the USMLE Step 1 by Bhushan, Le, and Amin) said that it's too detailed for the boards but serves as a good book to use while studying for the class. Not sure about the boards part yet, but its clinical part was more detailed than what I had to know for my course. Even if I knew all the material for my course cold I'd still miss some of the clinical questions in the book - my impression is that these questions are on the boards, but that my second year courses will cover this material again.

Thanks, Adcadet!!

What about the shelf exam? Has anyone taken this as a final in anatomy? At my school, the shelf exam is our final, and it is worth 40% of our course grade. What is the best source of practice questions to study from?

Thanks!!

no idea about shelf exams. Does anybody know if one can get one on their own, or can you only get them from your school?
