Couple of androgen/estrogen questions!
1) What would be the effect of blocking an androgen receptor on LH/FSH/GnRH and adrenals? I'm assuming that you would see an increase in gonadotropins and ACTH and a subsequent rise in androgens? Could someone clarify this for me?
2) This practice q I did basically said that an estrogen receptor antagonist in men would lead to increase gonadotropins and androgens because most of the control of the testicular-derived androgens is exerted by estradiol. This is the first time I've ever heard this? Could someone help me out? I don't understand this...
