is anergy a good or bad thing for the immune system? FA says that its self reacting lymphocytes that no longer are reactive which seems like a good thing.

I would say its good most of the time-bc you are prevent autoimmunity.
They also talk about PPD and anergy (i think of it as basically you are too sick to mount a response) That anergy of course, not so good..
