I live in south east Texas between Houston and Dallas. I was looking at salaries for gas and saw 300-450 range in these small towns. I was wondering if you think these salaries will always be around in small towns. Currently, the size of the town is 32,000 even FP docs are making serious $$$.

Who knows. Surgery isn't going to slow down anytime soon, though throughout the country. Until the market gets more saturated, say 12-15 years I would expect that a small town in SE Texas would continue to command high salaries even when the bigger cities tighten up.
