So I've been looking for a good source of anesthesia related material that i could listen to and learn from while I work out. Anyone know of any good apps for that? Or some other way to get something useful to listen to (i.e. lectures, review material, etc.)? I have an itouch btw

During my 4th-year anesthesia medical student rotations, I used to listen to Jensen's Audio Blue CD's while at the gym. Certainly not outstanding, but I'd rate it as pretty good.

One other resource that you might like is the Gold Standard USMLE Step 1 audio tapes -- the CV/respiratory physiology sections are extremely good, and the audio questions are structured in a question/answer format, so it doesn't matter [i.e. you don't have to rewind] if you sporadically zone out between sets.

Anyone hear of any apps that are out there? as opposed to CDs...

I got a letter in the mail recently from Audio Digest. I appears to packaged as a CME program for practicing anesthesiologists. (24 "issues" per year for $399) It looks like it can be downloaded in MP3 or podcast format.

Has anyone used this service in the past?

That **** is more of a hypnotic than propofol. I obtained Audio Blue for the sole purpose of listening to anesthesia while working out. I soon discovered that my workout sucked and I learned NOTHING. Now, I listen to Disturbed on my iPod. I still learn NOTHING, but at least I'm a f*cking BEAST in the gym. :meanie: 😀

2nd that... especially on the hypnotic part. Those ranger run's were so bad I'd want to drive a pick through my eyeballs.

Tool/Muse/old school metallica/megadeath/iron maiden/pantera/disturbed sure gets my catechols out of my adrenals.
