For those that got invites at Cornell, did you receive an email from them saying "we are in the process of reviewing your application" before receiving your invites? And if yes, how many days after that email did you get your invites?

I meant - are they inviting based on step scores right now or are they reviewing applications for the entire application in and of itself and that is what we are waiting on.

Meaning - I wonder if those of us who didn't get an invite yet were not pre-selected based on step scores.

I never got an email saying they were in the process of reviewing, just the invite today.

Yeah I got that email...and then 10 minutes later, I got the invite
 
For people getting invites-- are you getting them on different days than the people who posted before you got them (ie Mayo invites went out today and yesterday)? Did you submit on the first day? Update your app with step 2 scores today?
 
Interviews thus far: University of Louisville, University of Miami, Detroit Medical Center, William Beaumont Hospital, Emory University, and Boston Medical Center.

Background: Pretty average applicant, I applied to 40 programs because I'm hoping to match with my boyfriend who's going into Ophthalmology. I'm from Michigan by the way.

is anyone else feeling the compulsion of adding more programs? I currently am at 40 programs but haven't heard too much at this point and am itching to add on ~5 more programs that were 'maybe' on my list.

I know it's sort of early and dean's letters haven't yet been released yet. But still it's awfully quiet out there right now ...

Don't do it! I added a couple of maybes to my list and pretty soon wished I still had the money in my bank account. You won't feel any less nervous and you'll be poorer!
