Hi, what can anesthesia trained pain docs offer patients for in-office procedures that PM&R docs cannot or should not in terms of sedation? I’m speaking in terms of private practice. I know CMS discourages sedation for most ESIs and facets Thanks

Please do a search. This has been discussed seriously at least 30 times.

You think we will say charge cash for substandard care. Bye bye

This isn’t really a Vs. PMR-trained question. If you’re charging cash, any doctor can pretty much do anything that’s legal. If you don’t think you will finish your anesthesia training comfortable with supervising nurse-administered sedation that’s another story.
