Sheer curiosity...is AngII ever used in the ICU as a pressor?

Are there any other pressors in the development pipeline? Thx

Simple answer... No and I don't know of any more down the pipeline. Not a big ticket item for big pharma.

Agreed.

But hell, you never know when you'll find a drug that's a big ticket item......Viagra was originally being developed as a treatment for pulmonary hypertension until someone commented on the "side effect" and voila! Pfizer had a cash cow on its hands.

no but vasopressin is used, though less and less in our icu
