So overall I'm doing pretty well on the PAT. I've been averaging around a 21-22. And I'm working on all the other sections and improving. However, I feel like the harder I try to improve on angles the worse I'm getting. I always narrow it down to the right two but then I choose the wrong one unless it's really really obvious. I've heard of the hill technique and I thought that was helping but not so much anymore. Should I just practice this section more? Does anyone feel like they saw the angles better after a ton of practice?

I'm still improving on that section. But I actually just copied down the 2 or 3 problems that gave me a hard time on a notecard and practiced "seeing" those in my mind throughout the day. I feel like if you can master the hard ones then you're in good shape. I think I'll just keep practicing the really hard ones I find on practice tests and hopefully I get really good after a while.

Hey I made this explanation of the hill method if you've ever heard of it. It made a big difference for me. I feel like you can overdo it on this section actually and fry your brain and eyes so even when you take a break and feel fresh on test day, angle ranking can feel like a tedious job. Do the angles during your pat tests and review the missed ones til you can see the difference but I wouldn't sit there and solve 500 extra angle ranking problems to improve your skills. You can devote that time to something that can help you get a better score in the sciences.

Read the wicked sick PAT tutorial thread learn the ways of condog51 (rapid eye technique) and don't stress if you're talking about CDP angles. Those are f***ing hard. Achiever, Top Score and the Real DAT have easier angles than CDP.

Hey thanks willdrill. That was really helpful and thorough. I'll keep practicing that. Hopefully I have a good angle day on test day.
