If say a rehab manager wrote your recommendation letter, and you were accepted into PT school, and then quit the rehab tech job making him/her very angry, do they have any influence in possibly having you removed from the program?
Thanks

If you already were accepted/put a deposit down I owed say you're fine. The letter was sent to PTCAS and the manager has no connection to the schools you applied via PTCAS. I'm assuming you quit because you're going to be starting school, and obviously the manager knew you were attempting to get in to school since you asked for a recommendation. Do you know why they were so angry?

She said she feels "used" because she wrote my recommendation and got me a job but I quit when I was accepted. I even gave a 2 week notice so I'm just a bit worried about it all

I don't see the problem. That manager should know that this happens ALL the time and should have expected it. That letter of recommendation was for what you have demonstrated, not a shackle for what you are expected to do for them in the future.

Makes zero sense. What did she think you needed a letter for, funsies? Were you supposed to keep working there once you got accepted?
I'm curious - what was the timeline?

I've been working there 6 months, everything was fine and dandy and they even celebrated when I was accepted, and there was no agreement that I would keep working there during school. However, it turned for the worst when I said I'm working another job to make more money and quitting that one. She immediately accused me of using them after "all the work" they put into me to train me and all that.
It's ridiculous I know, but that's beside the point. The main worry is that she may contact the school (she knows the one I was accepted to) and say something like, I no longer support this student don't recommend him etc. Is there any harm that can be done since I paid deposit, been accepted and all that?

What a cruddy situation. I think you are fine with the school. I doubt she would call and if she did its absolutely ridiculous from jet perspective.

It's too late. I've never heard of a school retracting an acceptance because a reference changed his mind. Your reference would be a lunatic if she contacted the school. Even if she did, you could always explain the situation to the school. Hopefully your school's is more rational than your reference.

No. Once you've been accepted, an offer generally would only be rescinded if it was discovered that you had been dishonest in your application or if you failed to meet minimum entrance requirements (eg. failed an outstanding pre-req before matriculation).

You're in my friend. Allow the pre-PT student habitual neurosis you have undoubtedly developed to begin to subside. 🙂
