Hello all, I'm looking into taking an Animal Physiology course this semester. My school's waitlist is quite full, and I don't have much room to rearrange my degree plan for future semesters. With that said, I'm looking into taking Animal Physiology at another institution. I don't have a particular state in mind. I'm open to any suggestions you have or that you know of. I'm currently looking through to find an Animal Physiology course and any helping hands for course suggestions would be much appreciated. The course does not necessarily need to be in animal physiology per se so, if you know of any courses offered this Spring 2021 semester pertaining to other branches of physiology (plant physiology, etc.), please let me know. I mention animal physiology as I would prefer this but I'm open to any suggestions. Also, if you suggest a physiology course you took yourself, please let me know about any advice you have pertaining to it and any professors you recommend that I take the course with.

Also, possibly instead of the Animal Physiology/other heavily physiology-based courses, I am looking for a course along the lines of "Bacterial Diversity and Physiology." To outline the content, although including the mention of physiology in its title, the lecture's course description at my university is as follows: "Comparative survey of bacteria. Growth, ecology, metabolism, energy transformations, differentiation and adaptive mechanisms." The lab's course description is as follows: "Isolation of bacteria from nature. Enrichment methods, morphology, enumeration of bacterial growth and enzymes." Any suggested courses relating to this, not necessarily an exact match, would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

It sounds as if you're searching for an online course in Animal Physiology that is offered by any school in the Spring 2021.

The vetties might have more suggestions about online courses for you.

To my understanding, institution extension programs are not looked as well as taking a course at the main university itself in the eyes of medical school. In any case, my university informed me that credits from extension programs would not transfer. Even so, I want to extend my thanks for reaching out to help!

Are you looking to take this class to apply for *human* medical school or *veterinary* medical school? If it's human medical school, good for you for branching out and taking a different type of class.

Its towards human medical school. Although for animals, physiology is conceptual as well as involving memorization. As so, I can branch concepts from animal physiology to human physiology. The same is even applicable from plant physiology to human physiology. Obviously, the content will not be the exact same since this is physiology applied to different organisms, but there are definitely similarities that can be branched over.

I am specifically and necessarily looking for an animal physiology course per se. I am open to any suggestions for physiology courses that are similar to (not necessarily identical) to one of the following three courses: "Animal Physiology", "Plant Physiology & Development", and "Bacterial Diversity & Physiology." If anyone has any recommendations for a course they took, whether that be currently or in the past, please let me know of any advice you have and any professors you suggest.

You’re on the pre-vet forum so you’re not gonna get any pre-med advice here for classes.

Given that animal physiology is a pre-vet oriented course, I was recommended to the pre-vet forum. I originally posted on the pre-med forum. As so, I am not necessarily expecting advice for pre-med oriented physiology courses, although that is not unwarranted to discuss. Any suggestions for physiology courses at specified universities are much appreciated.
