Ankle RFA?

I don't think you can RFA (or want to) the entire ankle - the post tib, saphenous, common and deep peroneal, and the sural.

I have intermittently RFA'd specific nerve branches, particularly saphenous, deep peroneal, and post tib (for tarsal tunnel - don't bother).

Do you use ultrasound for this? Pulsed or full?
 
I can just imagine the neuritis of a thermal lesion on any of those big, thick nerves.
 
I used US, and pulsed.

some of those nerves are not big any more, and a couple of them are pure sensory nerves (ie saphenous and sural)
