Annotate into FA while studying for shelfs?

So I need a new studying strategy after kind of blowing it on my first shelf (peds) w/ only studying case-files and pretest. Time was a big factor, as was several of my friends sayingthey only studied for three days and honored it. Apparently I'm not one of those people. Anyway, I'm on OB/GYN now and plan on reading blueprints, casefiles, and doing all apgo+acog questions. My questions is are people annotating from these review books into FA CS II similar to how we did for step I? Are you guys reading these review books multiple times or reading once while taking notes and then just studying your notes? Any other shelf-studying advice that people can offer is greatly appreciated
