annoying amcas keeps deleting my text for work/activities

Anyone else experience this?
For my activities that are full(700/700 characters), once I hit continue, and come back to them like a few hours later, amcas deletes like 13 characters, and I am left with an incomplete sentence.

How do I fix this?

I know of no way to fix this. This problem has been addressed multiple times in the AMCAS questions thread (which is where this post should be) and I have not seen a solution. The best you can do is edit it down until AMCAS doesn't delete anything. Someone said it might have to do with AMCAS counting 2 characters for a return

Are you using a browser other than Internet Explorer?

This happened to me when I used Firefox for AMCAS, then when I switched over to Explorer, it magically stopped occurring.

I downgraded Firefox on my Mac to 3.6 since AMCAS claimed to support it, but I guess their definition of support is rather loose... 👎

Are you sure you character count is exactly 700. What are you using for character count? Word of AMCAS itself, and if using AMCAS itself don;t the word count reduce when you come back or stay at 700?

This happened to me as well but only for experiences that I designated as most meaningful. It happened when I entered something for the description while leaving the "why is this meaningful" section blank. Putting a period the text box resolved the issue.

Can someone please help me fix this?

It is cutting off both description and meaningful boxes (691 and 1319 characters, respectively).

I want to submit tomorrow but this is a big problem!

EDIT: Seems to be an issue with Chrome (I'm on a Mac). In Firefox, it recognizes Returns as 2 characters which is still incredibly annoying.

Easiest fix for me was getting that I.E tab add-on for Chrome. Open up the AMCAS app using the I.E tab and viola, it's supported.

You could also just use I.E from the start.. but I prefer it this way
