Ok,here's the deal. I have to finish taking two prerequisite courses: Either human anatomy or physiology OR microbiology. I work full time, so i can't take both courses in one semester. I am debating whether i should take anatomy/physiology in the spring semester and microbiology during the summer OR should i flip that around. which one is more important for pharm school?

Thanks for you input guys and girls! =)

BTW, happy new year all!

i'd always choose phys over anatomy - you can learn anatomy from a colouring book.

I took micro in spring as well as A&P I(anatomy). Then I took A&P II (physiology) in the summer.

Which one is more important will depend on your school. At UF, both anatomy and physiology are prerequisites, so when you start pathophysiology in year one they expect you to already know the physiology of a healthy body. Micro wasn't a prereq, but it helped immensely.

Some schools teach you physiology in the first year and have micro as a prereq.

I preferred micro in the spring because the lab is more time consuming. Physiology lab is pretty easy - dissect a cat and identifiy everything.

Well, it could be a school specific thing, but I found anatomy and physiology to be much harder (lab and class) than micro, so my suggestion would be micro in the summer. I will note that I took anatomy and physiology in separate semesters - it wasn't a combined class.
