Sooooooooooooooooo dreading going to work right now. I've already sent in my applications and I've already done an interview and so I'm pondering if whether or not I should quit. I know that some would say I should just stick with it so that I can continue to learn and be able to talk about it during my interviews for next year just in case I don't get in this year. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that I did retail b/c now I know that I don't want to do this type of pharmacy, it's just not for me. Don't mean to complain, just needed to vent.

Here, here. I am with you all the way. I did the same thing, only I quit before I got interviews. I've still been accepted and I am glad for the experience that retail gave me. Now I know I want to go straight into clinical pharmacy. Whoever came up with the concept of health care through a drive-thru window is an idiot.

It's 😎 to know early that you want to focus on the clinical side of things. Although, do you think you'd be happier in a rural, less busy retail pharmacy?

I totally feel your Pain. On the same token, I am totally afraid of change, or else I Would have left retail a looooong time ago. But hopefully during rotations I will find my niche. Anyway, Retail sucks, everyone who comes in is in there for a reason.....thats what I keep telling myself!

Learning to deal w/the stress of a retail pharmacy is excellent experience.

Retail doesn't "suck". It's all one's attitude towards it.
