Another DO school to open???

This time in PA to join PCOM and LECOM. I just went to AOA's website to look some stuff up and saw that Robert Morris University-School of Osteopathic Medicine has pre-accreditation status. Is this for real? I didn't even know this was in the works.

No this school is not going to open. The school announced that it was no longer following this plan a while back. do a search and you can find out more. They closed the offices and layoff the employees

I just wonder when it will stop? It isn't like only pre-meds/med-students see the problem, is it? Doesn't the AOA/COCA see the problems they will be causing in the future, or are they naive to it all?

Oh wow, I kinda feel relieved. Thanks for clearing it up. I keep hearing rumors about "new DO school to open in N. Indiana, school to open in..." I don't want to re-hash old topics, but it is amazing how fast these schools have been popping up. Somebody is making a pretty penny from it.

search old threads. Its been talked to death but basically the AOA sees a big problem with it but cannot control COCA. They can only suggest to COCA to make changes.
