I decided i'm going to take 3 courses this summer (to raise science gpa)..which run from June 1st until Aug 11th. I figure my grades should be in by Aug 15th at the latest.
I will be submitting aadsas in early July, therefore, since my new grades will come in on Aug. 15th say, will my application get reviewed right away with my old GPA or will it most likely get reviewed well after aadsas processes and updates my GPA after I send them the update form?
Obviously i'd like to get reviewed only after aadsas processes my new GPA. Any idea how long it will take for them to do so? Bearing in mind I will be sending them the update form in mid-august. Thanks

After submitting your application, you just have one time for filling your grade(processing or planed coursework) in January 2006.

This is FAQ in AADSAS

Q: I have submitted my application, but want to re-edit some of the information. What do I do?

A: Most sections of the AADSAS application cannot be updated after submitting to AADSAS. Those sections that can be revised are: Biographic Information and DAT Scores. Sections that cannot be updated after submission are: Parent and Family Information; Secondary School Information; Colleges Attended; Coursework (unless instructed to do so by an Transcript Verification staff member); Awards, Honors, Scholarships; Extracurricular, Volunteer, Community Service, Leadership Activities, Dentistry Job Shadowing; Work Experience; Research Experience; Background Information; Personal Statement; Release Statements.

In January 2006, a window of time will be available for you to update any coursework and grade information in the Courses Planned/In Progress section. An email will be sent to you 30 days prior to the opening of this window and will provide specific information about this academic update process.

Call AADSAS and ask them this question...I think exceptions may be made especially for those in summer school or those who will complete a vital pre-req, or even those who are completing their degree in the summer months. They might have you submit your transcript directly to them...if not...do what I did...fax (or send) your official transcript to each of the schools you are applying to after the summer sessions. They will take these scores into consideration IF you rocked all of your courses (if you did do well it will help your GPA and may change their view of your app, but if you get B's it wont change your gpa much)....most likely there will be time before most schools start interviewing (mid-August is around the time when they start to interview...if you faxed/sent your transcripts directly to the schools they might factor it in to your science, BCP and overall gpa). Best bet...ask AADSAS, if they say to wait until academic update requests are sent out...call each school and ask if you can fax in your new grades.

Thanks for the replies. If I could change my GPA to approximately 3.35 and Science GPA to about 3.15..would it be worth it to apply in mid-august instead of early July? This is a tough call now..hmmm

in my mind, i still think u should apply early....and send in new grades as u get them later in summer...i sure hope they re-review after seeing new grades...otherwise, why would schools tell u to do so?
i hope that's the case.

gdluck 😀 👍
