Hello all,

Can "Biochemistry 1" ( 3 credits) AND "Biochemistry 2" (3 credits) replace an "introduction/fundamentals to biochemistry" class (3 credits) instead of EITHER biochem 1 or biochem 2?
That would be 6 units (separate classes) replacing a 3 unit (altogether class, if you will.)

Biochemistry 1 has to do with the structure of biomolecules, etc and biochemistry 2 has to do with the metabolic pathways whereas the original intro/fundamentals to biochem included both.

Would appreciate any responses.

Thanks!

I am in the similar situation as you. I emailed AACOMAS regarding this and only received very vague answer. First of all, those two biochemistry courses cannot replace for one class. The AACOMAS person told me it needs to be the same course if taken at the same institution. If taken at other institution, then the course description has to match which accomas will verify later.

That's just as far as I know. And this is the reason why now I am decided to take UNE biochemistry course
