So I'm currently retaking a class that I took four years ago. It's not a prerequisite, however it does count towards my sGPA (engineering). Anyway, my question is: How does is look to the adcoms if you retake a class and get, say, a B+ in it. I'm currently doing well in the class (found out today I have the highest grade in the class after the first test), but the way the grades in the class are weighted, it just seems like its going to be rather difficult to get anything higher than a B+ (that's not to say I'm not going to try however). What are everyone's thoughts on this?

you should be fine assuming you didn't get a B+ before. Did you get a C or lower? and i am fairly certain AMCAS considers engineering as science, but I am not sure AACOMAS does. Anyone know for sure?

Whats important is that you show a significant improvement, I'd rather have E --> B+ than better than C --> A

Yeah I got a C last time I took it. And I'm fairly certain that AACOMAS counts engineering as science... Not quite sure about AMCAS.

And @ DocMan22: That's what I am mostly concerned about... It's an improvement, but not a huge improvement.

I guess all I'm trying to figure out is whether or not this will doom my application to DO schools.
