I'm a Canadian studying medicine in the US on an F1 student visa and plan on training (residency and 1 year fellowship) in the US. From there, I'm already planning on returning to Canada to practice. Assuming I can get a province and Health Canada to grant me a J1, is this a pretty solid option for someone in my position with my plans? Also, would I be able to pick where I wanted to practice in said province (i.e. Vancouver or Victoria rather than some underserved area in Northern BC)? Thanks for the help!
