Hi,

I have attached a pic of a question.

Why is the answer D, and NOT E?

It seems to me that if you slide it thru, that E would fit.

Can someone please explain?

Its not E because for the top portion, (i.e., not the square, but the extension branching from the top) is not long enough. Look how long it is in the front view of the figure, then compare it to choice E. Do you see how how much shorter it is in choice E?
