Another PAT question

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I would say that if you look at the end view and count the number of "events" there are 3. therefore the top view must have 3. choice b has 4 "events" and choice c has 3.

this is the same technique described my Mitschi (SP?) in ASU-devils top-front-end advice thread

Thank u for ur advice moose, but then how can we explain the dotted line that extends thru the middle despite a rectangular base? because C makes the base rectangular. Thanks for explaining.

I don't see how any of the answer choices can be the top view !!
Where does this question come from?

this question comes from Ace the DAT practice tests. I don't understand this question at all cuz there doesn't seem to be any right answers, but who am I to say anything?

I guess they must have put in the wrong front view... PAT question devoid of proper solution can at times be frustrating...

ace the dat is a junk. don't trust it too much. I stopped using it after taking one of their tests simply because I didn't want to unlearn & mislearn (my new vocabs  ) anything.
