Mailed my documents yesterday and Fed Ex tracking tells me they were delivered this morning. Finalized my CAS application today. There have been no changes to the status of any of my documents yet, as expected.

My question: Can I go ahead and select the programs I will apply to? Pay the fee and everything? Or do I need to wait until after my application is finalized?

Yes, you can go ahead and select the programs and pay. The distribution list, which is a list of your selected programs, must be finalized in order for your application to be marked as complete. Once CAS receives this list (in addition to the online app you already submitted and the mailed documents they received today), they will change the status to "received." It will likely take 2 weeks to then get the "distributed" status. Good luck!
