School: DO school in the south
Step 1: high 240's
Step 2: low 250's
comlex: 680's/610's (big drop here. should I be worried??)
Pre-clinical:
first quartile
Clinical: honors except for 1 pass
Research: nothing during medical school. 2 pubs from before medical school
EC's: board member of one club

For top programs that have zero DO's on their roster (like BIDMC, BW, Vanderbilt, UAB), should I consider these to be "reach" programs or delete them off my list to save precious $$$. i have way too many programs (120) on my list right now . I don't want to go somewhere snowy but beggars can't be choosers and I'll take what I can get

Your talking about saving 60$, huge upside and -60$ downside.

I had very similar stats to you (including COMLEX) and I wouldn't worry at all about the COMLEX drop.

If I were to do everything over again I wouldn't have applied to ANY top program (or any program for that matter) with zero DO's. All those applications really added up $$ wise and no, they did not give me a fair shake. They throw your app directly into the trash when they see the two letters "DO". Could you get interviews there if you were an MD - sure. But you aren't, so save your money.

There are top and mid tier programs that are DO friendly which you probably know about. But with your stats, depending on how competitive it is for your year, you should be able to get into a mid-tier academic program or good community program.
