  • LORs: 2 strong radiology letters, 2 strong letters from Sub-I
  • Research/Publications: multiple case reports, 1 paper
  • Class Rank/Quartile: 3rd quartile
  • Medical school: upper tier Midwest

The board scores and class rank are well below average, but your research is above average. If "upper tier Midwest" means Northwestern, UChicago, WashU, UWisconsin, Mayo, or UMichigan...you'll be fine.

I would recommend applying broadly. Don't think you'll need to apply to a back-up specialty.
