Hello,

I am actually trying to apply into PCOM and other osteo. schools also. PCOM is my first choice and I wanted to know if I'd be able to get in. I just got my scores from APRIL 2006, 24R: 8V - 7P - 9B which is horrible but ...eh. Anyways, my premedical committee said I had a really solid profile: alot of experience including working for a DO for a year now, volunteering, etc. I also have a 3.8 GPA at my school (not sure how it works for AACOM since I failed a class and retook it and got an A). sorry for the long post but I am really upset about my mcat scores. What do you guys think? Do I have a chance at an interview and admission to PCOM and any other osteopathic school?!!??! I applied to 10 schools. My application is finished but they havent sent it out to the schools yet.

Worried,
Tiffany

trust me you will be offered interviews, don't know about acceptance that depends on how you do during your interviews.

You have a good chance if you applied to 10 schools. You have a 3.8 GPA so you are a good student. Remember that in interviews. Don't talk yourself down about your stats from here on out.

Show interest at PCOM if that is your top choice. Attend their Open House in the fall and talk to someone in admissions. Be sure to verify you are complete at PCOM when the time comes. Keep an eye on SDN for when interview offers for PCOM starts rolling in. If you don't have an interview offer by mid-November(when August MCATers that are 1st time takers start getting PCOM interview offers) I'd give a call just to be sure you were complete once again. Be vigilant!

Don't go to admissions across america :meanie:

I am googling the PCOM open house for fall, so far havent found much for the school of medicine. Do you have any links or anything on it that I could look at? I def. want to go!

That has information for prospective students. I think you have a solid profile and will be offered an interview. Get your materials in early. The earlier you have a complete application, the earlier they will send you invitations! PM me with any questions. I start at PCOM in the fall.
