I applied last year (2014) for the 2015 cycle... how should I answer this question?

Anyone who wants to matriculate in 2015 had to apply in 2014, right? The deadlines for AMCAS applications are prior to December 31 to start school the following year, right? Is it that complicated? You applied in 2014.
