an increase in horizontal overlap leads to a decreased ant guidance angle, less vertical component to mandibular movement ,and flatter posterior cusps.an increase in vertical overlap produces an increased ant guidance angle ,a more vertical component to mandibular movement and steeper posterior cusps[taller th post cusps].
