Hi guys, had a question regarding ABX on the exam. How high-yield is it regarding the coverage, 3rd/4th generation cephalos, and what to give, etc? Going thru the infectious disease section in FA, its starting to get a little confusing 😕

You're going to get at least a couple questions on "What antibiotic do you give?", and some of them will involve special circumstances like allergy and pregnancy. The good news is that USMLEWorld does a fairly good job covering what actually shows up, so you get reasonable exposure for that handful of questions.

It's easier to learn by knowing the infection and then which antibiotics to give rather than know the antibiotics and try to remember what infections they cover
