Any advice as I progress from undergraduate?

Get that GPA up, review your bio, o-chem and chem stuff and aim for 20's on each section of the DAT. If you do really well on the DAT, a lower gpa might be okay, but you should try and get it up to the 3.4-3.5 range. Extracurriculars look good.

best of luck.

so far i think i probably need to do some extrracurricular stuff like volunteering at a hospital and what not, since my gpa is in the same boat as you man, all i've actually done so far is just shadow at my local dentists office.

Take some of the most commonly recommended (by dental schools) upper level division sciences to show you can handle them. Get your GPA up. Be well rounded (ie - do things that interest you and that you can enjoy while in school) When you study, try to understand concepts vs short term memory for a test. I wouldn't stress out about the DAT until the time comes to take it. Work on studying hard and doing extra curriculars in the meantime. It will all come together in the end.

BCP GPA is the GPA average of your biology, chemistry and physics courses. It is one of the GPAs reported by AADSAS, along with your overall and science.
