I interviewed at Touro U on 9/20. It was definitely the best interviewing experience I have had so far out of the 3 other interviews I have done. I interviewed at TCOM last year, and NSU and Tx Tech (MD) this year.
Day started with financial aid talk, meet with dean and Roger, the director of student affairs, who is going to keep you in a happy and less nervous mood the whole time. I was really relaxed at this interview maybe bc of Roger, but also bc I had felt I had been through this process 3x before and starting to feel like a pro 🙂
I had two docs, who interviewed me at the same time, and it was definitely more of a conversation than a interview. It was great. Lasted about 30 mins. I hadn't had this sort of "conversational" interview yet although I had heard others claim they've had it and I didnt beleive it existed. At Touro-NV it does!
The building the school is in does look like a warehouse, but the inside looks more like an office building, which has its advantages, i.e. never have to leave during the day and walk around in the heat. The library is almost non existent 🙁 They say its an online library, so maybe thats why its so small ? 😕 the students there are awesome and cheerful, seem very happy to be there.
I definitely reccoemdn finding the school teh night before. My flight got in around 10pm, and by the time I got my rental car, settled in my hotel room, it was already 12:30.. it was my dumbness for gettin such a late flight, but I have late evening classes I really didnt want to miss. anyways congrats on getting interviews you guys! good luck.. u'll rock it im sure 🙂
