Hi
I am very excited to start dental school in less than 2 months (class of 201😀). I have more than a month break time before school starts and would like to know if you could recommend any reading or supplemental material that I can look at or I can review in order to prepare for my first semester. Is it better to look at first year dental student’s books and notes or just relax and enjoy my free time?
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Enjoy your summer. You will get enough information to review as soon as school starts. Congratulations and Best Wishes.

I am in the same position as you, I am excited and a little apprehensive about the material I will be taking. I thought for a little bit I should get a head start with anatomy. In the end I decided to relax, and take it easy. Think about it we are all starting in the same place, I really don't see the need to get a head start. I really value my free time(I spend here sometimes 😕), and I feel the benefit of studying anatomy from a book is not enough to give up my time to relax.

I think you should seriously consider reading the new Harry Potter book coming out in a few weeks. They are full of useful stuff like how to deal with muggles. Plus you'd be surprised how many evil wizards and witches you are likely to meet in dental school.:meanie:

I would like to say that it is so nice to have a general knowledge about dentistry before you enter your semester. You can have an overview about dentistry and also enjoy your summer.Sometimes the person in the summer is free and get lazy so it is better to read.I just finished my first year of dentistry and I get my excellent results but for sorry I wasn't the first position of the whole students. Thanks for my lord or everything. But what I knew about the first five advanced student that they were reading about dentistry before they enter the first semester. So you can compare!!!!!!!!!.
Take care!!!!!
