Any biomedical engineering (BME) majors here who got into medical school? Did the interviewers give special interest to your major?

Not BME, but as you can tell from the name, ChemE! I'm still about 2 years away from applying, but I can probably relate to some of the engineering rigor stress feels. From what I've read/seen from members here and AdComs, sadly, our majors don't help us out all that much other than it MAY, very slightly from what it sounds like, look good that we did well in it, but it won't help us if we do poorly. 🙁

All the BME premeds I've met ended up dropping one or the other. Tread carefully.

BS in BME from top 10ish engineering school in US, about 30 of my BME classmates are all attending physicians now. my gpa definitely took a hit from doing engineering but did get some questions from interviewers

BME is one of the more popular majors for applicants. (You can search top majors for med school applicants).
And, unfortunately, it has been indicated that no GPA adjustment is made for engineering majors vs other majors despite taking many more difficult credits.
