I am considering pursuing my CGP certification. I am just wondering if there is anyone else here lurking on the boards thinking about doing the same or has completed the certification. CGP = certified geriatric pharmacist, FYI. Anyways, I know some schools offer the cert. process as electives to the regular curriculum. I sure wish my had.

Please see www.ccgp.org and www.ascp.com. CGP is not an educational degree; however, there are geriatric certificates and/or masters programs that various schools may offer. However, from a pharmacist perspective the CGP is sufficient and the test really isn't that bad (BCPS is harder as it covers more information). Requirements to take the exam are having practiced for 2yrs after graduating pharmacy school. They do not differentiate b/w residency training and other forms of practice so only 2 yrs of practice in any setting are necessary.
