hey guys, right now im heading into my 3rd yr and so far i had a few slips along the way. i got an F a calc 4 course and i got a D in an anthropology course (i know i'm an idiot; easiest class ever😡) but I retook an english course and i got an A. knowing that all of these are non-science courses and assuming i retake these courses and get a B/A in them within the next year, will my chances to get into D school go up enough that i wont have go into a post bacc? i have yet to take my DAT, planning on taking them this july/aug.

cGPA: 2.983
sGPA: 3.145
hrs of volunteering: 90-100 with plenty of summer left
DAT: taking at end of july

Depending on how much units you have. I was in a similar situation like you - at the end of my junior year my GPA was barely 3. If you take enough units during senior year + summer school, and manages to get around a 3.8~3.9, you can probably boost your GPA around 3.3. Be aware of the D's and F's though. If the GPA you mentioned consists only of the grade after you have retaken it, remember that AADSAS factors both grade in.

if you can't help your GPA any, you better ace the DATs to distinguish you from those with the same or higher GPA. also, dental experience is always a plus.

stop ****ing around and start studying and get all A's your senior year and then apply, you'll do okay!
